 Vertigo Comic Series 'Midnight, Mass.' Being Developed as a Series by NBC There is more to the world of comics than men in pervert-tights punching each other in the face--there is also the crazy occult supernatural! NBC is poised to take advantage of the latter half of the comics world, having placed 2002 Vertigo series 'Midnight, Mass.' in development, to be adapted into an ongoing series.
The series, published by the Vertigo imprint of DC Comics (an imprint which allows the Superhero publisher to delve into darker, more adult-themed stories) was released in 2002 with a follow-up in 2004 by writer John Rozum. 'Midnight, Mass.' is described by the publisher as "a sophisticated, sexy, globe-trotting husband and wife paranormal investigator team — based in Midnight, Massachusetts — that takes on supernatural foes, macabre mysteries and the most frightening creature of all: marriage."
Rozum, who is also known for his work on Milestone Comics' series 'Xombi,' will not be making the jump to television scripting; the deal includes 'Snow White & The Huntsman' scribe Evan Daugherty to adapt the series for the small screen. In the vein of the wildly-successful 'The Walking Dead,' the comic's original writer will remain involved as an executive consultant on the project.
NBC is developing the series as a drama, intertwining the romantic elements of the frought married couple with a serious take on the ghoulish supernatural business they deal with. This is the second time that NBC has attempted to move forward with the project, having tried to put things together back in 2009; as 'The Walking Dead' enters a highly anticipated third season, the television landscape has certainly altered since then, perhaps making producers much more eager to put serious macabre elements on their docket.

Уште една вест која не стигнав да ја споделим ради “кризата“...
USA Renews Covert Affairs, White Collar, and Royal Pains
Новите сезони на Covert Affairs и White Collar ќе имаат 16 епизоди, додека Royal Pains е обновена за 26 епизоди, кои ќе бидат поделени во две сезони (не се знае точно како ќе иде распределбата). Иако не е спомната во соопштението, Suits сигурно ќе биде обновена, се чека само официјална потврда. Од друга страна, Common Law неофицијално е откажана...

NBC gives 'Go On,' 'Revolution,' 'New Normal' full season orders
Аирлија, 22 епизоди. За Go On и Revolution очекувано, но New Normal мислев дека во спротивна насока ќе иде т.е. дека ќе ја скинат за брзо време... Oh, well. Само повеќе епизоди кои нема да ги гледам.

Премиерите на новите сезони на Комјунити и Витни, оригинално предвидени за петок (19.10), се одложени. Нов термин нема, но ова се всушност добри вести. За фановите на Комјунити барем, фанови на Витни нема, и тоа со право. Велам добри, затоа што идејата позади одложувањето е дека ги чуваат како замена за новите комедии (на кои не им иде баш добро), а тие се емитуваат во подобри термини. Ed Brubaker sells dramas to NBC and Fox
In potentially awesome news, comic book writer Ed Brubaker has sold projects to Fox and NBC.
Fox has purchased "Rising Suns", a crime thriller that centers on an American Yakuza boss who has to fight for his life, occasionally using martial arts skills learned in Japan. He also gets involved, romantically, with the female FBI agent who is trying to track him down. Brubaker is writing and will executive produce, with Awake's Kyle Killen also serving as executive producer.
At NBC, the unnamed series features a young female agent who becomes part of the agency's cleanup crew. She begins to learn the ropes from an established, well-regarded agent. Brubaker will be writing and executive producing this as well, with Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan also serving as executive producers.
Brubaker is one of the top writers in today's comic scene. He currently writes the ongoing Captain America series, as well as Fatale, a dark, Lovecraftian noir. Crime noir is his bread and butter. In my opinion, he does it better than anyone else in the game today. I loved Criminal and Gotham Central, as they were both magnificent looks into the criminal underbelly.

Оп, уште една стрип-рилејтед вест... Carlton Cuse Developing 'Sixth Gun' at NBC "Lost" and "Bates Motel" writer/producer Carlton Cuse is set to adapt Oni Press' graphic novel series "The Sixth Gun" into a series for NBC.
Cuse will team up with writer Ryan Condal on the project, which is being produced by both Universal Television and Oni Press' own production company Closed On Mondays Entertainment. The story of the comic book series blends western elements with the supernatural, centering on six mythical guns with otherworldly powers. After laying low for eons, the titular sixth gun resurfaces in the hands of a young woman named Becky Montcrief, who must protect it from villainy with the help of mysterious gunfighter Drake Sinclair.
The comic series was created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt, who also have another project "The Damned" in production at Showtime. Oni Press currently has Condal on tap to write their "Queen & Country" adaptation at Fox. Cuse is no slouch in the new projects department either, with his "Psycho" prequel series set to air on A&E while also developing Guillermo Del Toro's "The Strain" at FX.

TNT Picks Up Frank Darabont's 'L.A. Noir' to Series
Овој муабет го спомнавме во топикот за Walking Dead, но сега е официјално, па може да се објави ко вест. Покрај Darabont како showrunner, од TWD тука се Jon Bernthal (Шејн) и Jeffrey DeMunn (Дејл), како и Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) и Neal McDonough (Justified, Desperate Housewives).
The series, set in the '40s and '50s, follows the battle between L.A. Police Chief William Parker (Neal McDonough) and mob boss Mickey Cohen (no casting yet). Bernthal will play LAPD cop Joe Teague, while Milo Ventimiglia will play Teague's friend Ned Stax, who works for the mob. DeMunn will portray Hal Morrison, a detective put in charge of the mob squad. British actor Simon Pegg has already been nabbed to be a guest star.
Серијата е базирана на книгата L.A. Noir: The Struggle For The Soul Of America’s Most Seductive City, не на истоимената игра, но нема да се вика L.A. Noir токму за да нема забуни со играта. Конечниот наслов уште не се знае.
Прва сезона ќе има 6 епизоди и ќе се емитува во 2013-та.
