NEVERLAND (2011)
Neverland is a 2011 prequel to well-known Peter Pan and Wendy story, to be shown in two parts on the Syfy Channel in December 2011. According to advance info from the network, the feature "re-imagines Peter Pan's Neverland and how it came to be". The channel previously produced Tin Man (2007) and Alice (2009), which reinterpreted the stories of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, setting them roughly in the present, with science fiction and modern fantasy elements added. This production, however, is presented as an "origin story" for Peter Pan, much like Peter and the Starcatchers... and also ignoring the fact that J. M. Barrie wrote one: Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens.
The film is written and directed by Nick Willing, and filmed in Genoa and Dublin.
