Не би да ти пишам на параду, ама за Lie To Me нема никаква надеж (за жал), веќе две ТВ сезони поминаа откако ја скинаа, да имаше и астрономска шанса за враќање, тоа ќе се случеше досега... Breaking In се враќа (откако ја откажаа) чисто како подарок од ФОКС за креаторот на серијава затоа што потпиша ексклузивен договор со нив за не знам колку нови пилоти/серии т.е. тоа бил еден од условите.

Christopher Lloyd to play Only Fools' Grandad
Doc Brown joins American remake

There's been a whole load of casting news left, right and centre for the upcoming US remake of Only Fools and Horses.

Carlito's Way star John Leguizamo is playing Del Boy while Dustin Ybarra (?!) will be the new Rodney. But, if you're remaining cautiously optimistic about the remake, you'll be rather excited about the latest.

Christopher Lloyd, yes Doc Brown himself, will be taking on the role of Grandad. The ABC comedy will tread the same path as the original, with the three characters concocting various get-rich schemes. Lloyd's most recent roles have included Piranha 3D and the ingeniously titled sequel Piranha 3DD.

Happy Endings star BJ Bales has also been cast as Trigger, who has now been turned into the villain of the piece. He's described as a "ghetto-talking con man who is Del and Rodney’s perpetual enemy". Hmmm.

The show will air in the US this Autumn with the UK to follow. What do you think of the latest casting developments?

David Cronenberg Enters The TV Realm

TV is about to get just a little more weird

EW.com reports that legendary director David Cronenberg, helmer of a very diverse catalog of films including The Fly, Scanners, The Dead Zone, Dead Ringers, A History Of Violence, Eastern Promises, A Dangerous Method, Videodrome, Naked Lunch, eXistenZ and many others, has signed on to both direct and executive produce a new series entitled "Knifeman".

The show, based on a novel by Wendy Moore, follows an "eccentric surgeon who engages in far-reaching methods in order to learn more about the human body." As a long time follower of Cronenberg's directorial career, I'd say that type of twisted premise is certainly right up his alley.

The production house behind the series, Media Rights Capital, confirms that the project has not yet been sold to a network and that the current focus is on the casting process for the pilot episode. The pilot script is being written by Emmy nominated writer and producer Roland Jones, formerly of Friday Night Lights.

With a heavy hitter like David Cronenberg in the lead, a distinguished TV writer penning the pilot, and the type of subject matter that will naturally lend to itself to explicit detail, I can easily see this series being picked up by Showtime or Starz. HBO is a possibility, but I'd consider them a bit less likely to jump on it. A show about an eccentric surgeon would be way out of place on broadcast TV, and the only basic cable channel I'd see being interested is possibly FX. The plotline would stick out like a sore thumb on TNT or USA.

Ако синопсисот за серијава е некаква индикација, се чини враќање на старите забегани патеки е неизбежно, што за фанови на Кроненберг/мајндфак е супер вест (and about time, if I may add). За ADM се сложувам, мислам дека тоа е првиот филм на Кроненберг што не е на негово ниво (освен одличната прва третина од филмот и директните сцени меѓу Јунг и Фројд)...

/Инаку, синопсисов за Knifeman ме потсети на најновиот на Алмодовар, The Skin I Live In/La Piel Que Habito, кој (да цитирам една од рецензиите на ИМДБ) е нај-Кроненберговиот филм кој Кроненберг го нема направено... Крајно невообичаен, бизарно луд филм, кој се гледа еднаш, а памети засекогаш. Би ти го препорачал, ама не сакам да бидем виновен за можните трауми кои би произлегле од неговото гледање

Мене ми е најмерак за The Good Wife и The Mentalist, а до негде и за Person of Interest...

ПС. Не се води по ИМДБ за М&М, многу предрасуди на негледано има, солидно смеење содржи серијата, слично како што Two and a Half Men содржеше, со мнооогу реметење меѓу ликовите, без да се срамат да плеснат евтина заебанција во лице, како за секс, така за дебелина итн. Всушност, од тој понеделнички блок на комедии, мислим дека најмногу на глас се смеем токму на Мајк и Моли...

EДИТ: Ко што гледам, веќе си коментирал ваму и си ја гледал колку-толку, не знам точно што мислиш под прос/конс...
ЕДИТ2: Инаку, уште си тера прва сезона, 14 епизоди досега (од 22), но се’ на се’ супер се развива после релативно слабиот старт.

^ Yup. Пишав малку повеќе во топикот за Grimm, ѕирни таму...

Showtime пушти leak т.е. preair на првата епизода на три нивни серии кои треба да се вратат во април: The Borgias, The Big C и Nurse Jackie. Колку што можев да видим, квалитетот е солиден, WEB-DL рипови се, односно WEB-CAP... Па ако некому не му се чека, нок јорселф аут.
