This January, fans will get a Batman tale like no other, by two of the most masterful creators to ever take on the Dark Knight.

BATMAN: EUROPA, a four-issue mini-series written to gritty perfection by FIRST WAVE’s Brian Azzarello and Matteo Casali with an all-star cast of artists, including Giuseppe Camuncoli (who is handling layouts for the entire series!), Diego Latorre and Jock. With a first issue painted over Cammo’s layouts by none other than superstar artist and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee, who as you know, is no stranger to Batman. And if it involves Jim, you can guarantee it’s a major Batman tale.

In the pages of BATMAN: EUROPA, the impossible has happened – the Batman is on the brink of defeat, at the hands of a virus with no cure. Surely there’s someone that can help him? Well, there is – the Joker. Who infected Batman with the virus? What does the Joker have to do to save him? And how can it all happen before the Dark Knight collapses? Together, the unlikely teammates and arch-foes travel through Europe cobbling together clues while the clock ticks down.

As Smallville exits, meet The CW's newest DC Comics superhero



With Smallville set to close up shop at the end of this season, The CW is looking for another DC Comics superhero saga to replace it—and they may have found it.

According to Variety, the network is possibly going to adapt Raven as a new series. A script has already been ordered from Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment, with former V co-executive producer Diego Gutierrez onboard to write and executive-produce it.

Who is Raven? According to DC canon, the character, whose real name is Rachel Roth, is the offspring of a human and a demon. Her abilities include teleporting, entering the minds of others, and reading the emotions of others. Although she fights crime, she has to constantly struggle to keep the demonic side of her personality under control. Her "soul-self" can also separate from her body to either engage in physical fighting or act as her eyes and ears away from her.

Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, Raven first appeared in DC Comics Presents #26 in October 1980. She spent her early years growing up in the alternate dimension of Azarath, and later helped form the New Teen Titans when she was refused membership in the Justice League.

She's also spent some time as White Raven and later as the evil Dark Raven, before being reincarnated in the body of a teenage girl and trying to start fresh, with most of her latest adventures chronicled in the relaunched title Titans.

The character also appeared on the animated Teen Titans series, which ran between 2003 and 2006.

Raven's more recent adventures involve a lot of fighting, demonic attacks and even some teen romance, which sounds like perfect fodder for The CW ...

...и не ми ја чепкај Равен. Некој растел со Загор (и имал влажни сништа) а некој раснел со Равен (и имал влажни сништа)!

Raven е добар лик, кој има јака мистичност околу себе, само да го извозат на прав начин

Плус, имај во обзир за на која телевизија се спрема проектот - CW отсекогаш биле настроени кон тинејџерски/пост-тинејџерски теми, а фураат и баеѓи натприродни теми, па Рејвен им одговара совршено. Брус Вејн серија и ја би сакал да видим, ама таков тип на помрачна серија тешко дека ќе видиш на CW и њима сличних, пре на некој од кабловските канали, но тие се главно заинтересирани за оригинални серии...
